We, the undersigned residents of Newtown Square, petition the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors to vote against the proposed CR Zoning Amendment.

We are opposed to the change in zoning because its effects will hurt the Newtown Township residents by adding retail shops and restaurants, with two stories of apartments on top, to residential neighborhoods. If passed, the CR Zoning Amendment will:

-create more unnecessary commercial space

-displace current residents and destroy neighborhoods

-create more traffic, noise and pollution

-decrease property values

-compromise the character and integrity of Newtown Square
