The laws which are supposed to protect animals need to change in NL. We call on Our Government to:

(1) Pass laws that animals are sentient beings and deserving of our protection and care.

(2) Give back the power to the SPCA and rescues to seize animals as they previously did.

(3) Implement a Province-wide TNR program for feral and dumped cats.

(4) Ensure no animal is to be tethered over night from the hours of 11:00 pm to 6:00 am, and no animal is to be tethered in extreme weather conditions or tethered unsupervised.

(5) Enforce Schedule B of the Animal Control Act which provides specifications for dog houses, pens and basic standards. 

(6) Immediately force the RNC/RCMP to enforce the existing laws until they are changed.

WE WILL NO LONGER STAND FOR THE PATHETIC TREATMENT OF ANIMALS IN OUR PROVINCE!
