Many locals in the Newcastle, KZN area are affected negatively by the decision from management and the traffic department to stop taxi's from entering the Newcastle mall. Many people go to the mall for work and other purposes. It is not everyone who has a car that goes to the mall. The banning of taxi's has caused such an inconvenience that even when it rains, or there is hail, we pedestrians have to walk a distance from the main road to the mall which is unfair.

We are aware of the traffic caused by taxi drivers and would like the traffic Department to take necessary action to stop it, but to ban taxi's from the mall is also to ban the thousands of people who use them. Thank you.
