Defend Dewley Hill has launched a crowdfunding page to raise funds to cover legal costs in the ongoing fight to protect Dewley Hill from a huge coal mine.

It is thought a decision on the plans could be due next month.

Securing legal advice will increase the likelihood of stopping the devastation that will be inflicted on local communities, landscapes and wildlife if Newcastle City Council gives the green light to Banks Mining Group.
