Long Island is a largely Republican area but is always discounted because of New York City even though Long Island pays the large majority of New York State taxes. Long Island is not fairly represented in our Government, especially in New York. Long Island should be a 2nd Congressional District of New York, and receive more representation in New York, as well as receive Electoral College representation.
