Justice for Lisa. Stop Parole for Matthew Solomon

Justice for Lisa. Stop Parole for Matthew Solomon
The Issue
On Christmas Eve, 1987, Matthew Solomon brutally strangled his 22-year-old wife, Lisa Weaver Solomon. He then stuffed her body in trash bags and dumped her in a field.
On Christmas morning, Solomon called Lisa's family, claiming she had gone out the night before for a walk and never came back. For six days, he played the grief-stricken husband, granting interviews to media, pleading to the public to help bring Lisa home, while massive searches were conducted. Tragically, one of Lisa's cousins, who was out searching for her, found her body.
Solomon's performance ended 17 days later after fibers found near Lisa's body matched those from the trunk of his car and he was charged with her murder. In a videotaped confession, he claimed the killing was an accident and that he was only trying to calm Lisa down during an argument. According to forensic evidence presented by the prosecutor, Solomon strangled Lisa for approximately three minutes before she died. Three long minutes.
Thankfully, the jury didn't believe him and in February 1989, he began serving a sentence of 18 years TO LIFE after they found him guilty of second-degree murder, showing depraved indifference for human life. (https://www.apnews.com/1d017a52e4747bc748e3ad56bf3ce849)
Solomon has spent the last 30 years in prison, never showing any remorse for what he did to Lisa and her family. While in prison, he has married multiple times and even became a father and a grandfather.
He has petitioned the NY parole board seven times for an early release. Each time, claiming he has turned his life around. Despite this claim, he has exhibited the same vicious personality he had when he strangled Lisa. Even his ex-wife begged the parole board not to release him, in this direct quote:
"he is a danger to our society..if car keys makes hjm snap, then god knows what else. for hs daughters sake..keep him looked up till he dies."
Lisa's mother has spent the last 30 years visiting her daughter's grave every day. Solomon not only killed Lisa, but he also killed any children and grandchildren she might have had.
He is up for another parole hearing in March. And for the eighth time, Lisa's family will beg the parole board not to release the violent monster who stole Lisa from them and forever changed their lives.
They should not have to beg to keep Solomon behind bars. Every action on Solomon's part only reveals just what a dangerous sociopath he really is and should stay behind bars for life, the sentence he was given. His release would only put every single person who comes in contact with him in danger of becoming another one of his victims.
Please sign this petition to keep Matthew Solomon behind bars for the rest of his life and ensure Lisa and her family get the justice they deserve!
