George W. Bush Tried for Murder

George W. Bush Tried for Murder
The Issue
September 11th, 2015, felt especially hollow for me this year.
I recently watched, "The Prosecution of an American President" (2012), featuring former prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi's argument to try George W. Bush for murder. If this sounds far-fetched, I would share that Bugliosi successfully prosecuted 105 of 106 felony cases in his career, including the brilliant prosecution of Charles Manson. He is now deceased, but his idea is not. This petition is to be presented to New York State's Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman for the murder and conspiracy to commit murder of American soldiers by George W. Bush.
In this documentary I learned about the "White Paper". Indisputable evidence that the Bush Administration purposefully deceived the American public, media, and U.S. Congress into war with Iraq. Information that clearly stated Iraq was not an imminent threat, unless provoked, was censored when passed from the Bush Administration to the people and our representatives.
In a November 15, 2005, editorial, the New York Times said that "the president and his top advisers . . . did not allow the American people, or even Congress, to have the information necessary to make reasoned judgments of their own. It's obvious that the Bush administration misled Americans about Mr. Hussein's weapons and his terrorist connections."
Adding insult to injury the Bush Administration shamelessly talked about 9/11 within breaths of the potential war in Iraq. Advancing their own political agenda of war through dishonoring those who were lost on that day.
The New York Times, in a June 17, 2004, editorial, said that in selling this nation on the war in Iraq, "the Bush administration convinced a substantial majority of Americans before the war that Saddam Hussein was somehow linked to 9/ 11, . . . inexcusably selling the false Iraq-Al Qaeda claim to Americans."
Today we hear about the NSA endlessly spying on us, corporations handing over our private data, and classified drone strikes. These programs can easily be linked to the falling of the Twin Towers and the resulting Patriot Act. I see this as another dishonor upon the victims of the 9/11 attack.
I feel that letting the Bush administration get away with deceit and murder has led to a palpable darkness that continually looms over our country. A country that was once respected, perhaps not liked, but respected in the world. As a result of this inaction I see a correlation between how most of our leaders, CEOs, corporations, banks, Wall Street investors, representatives, and Senators act with little regard to consequence or care for the people.
Perhaps, in signing this petition a path will be forged towards truly honoring our fallen heroes and victims. 191 confirmed soldier deaths from New York State, over 4,000 American soldiers killed, and beyond 100,000 dead civilians in Iraq.
