New York State Assemblywoman Barbara Clark of district 33 in Queens: Add speed bumps along 116th and 115th avenue in Cambria Heights
This petition had 974 supporters
Many who are familiar with Cambria Heights are aware that the back roads of 116 and 115 are often used for street racing at night. Often its simply an inconvenience in the middle of night when you hear the roaring up and down the streets. However, this past Sunday morning, Nov. 18, a young lady lost her life because of this.
Early Sunday morning at about 2:45 a.m. Paulina Rodriguez, who was pursuing her masters in forensic psychology, was killed after a 25-year-old man racing down 115th ave collided with her car as she approached the intersection.
Cambria Heights is a residential neighborhood with many families living there. It is extremely important that speed bumps are placed along those avenues so a senseless tragedy like this can be avoided.
Expenses for Paulina's funeral is about $16,000; a cost that her mother is having difficulty paying. Please donate anything you can to help lessen the burden of burying her only daughter.
