Petition for an updated Dinkelmeyer Playground

To: The North Bellmore School Board and Mrs. Testa, School Superintendent

Overview of issue:
We, as the parents of Dinkelmeyer Elementary School current and future students, as well as North Bellmore community members and grandparents, would like to see an update to the playground structure that exists in the back of the school. In the past 11 years, the district has supported the updates of playgrounds at Newbridge Elementary School, Park Avenue Elementary School and Saw Mill Elementary School. Our playground at Dinkelmeyer is more than 20 years standing, and is showing signs of those years of wear and tear. We are asking that through multiple avenues of help, ie grants, PTA support, fundraising, and district funding, we can come together to achieve the goal of a new playground for Dinkelmeyer.

What we are asking for:
We would like the Board of Education to support the goal of purchasing a new playground at Dinkelmeyer Elementary School, be it through pursuing grants and/or funds from the district to be allocated to this project.
