**NEW PETITION IN DESCRIPTION**Maintain Walk on Wilshire as a Traffic-Free Pedestrian Zone

The Issue

***NEW PETITION - PLEASE SIGN HERE INSTEAD: www.tinyurl.com/savewalkonwilshire

As a resident of Fullerton, California, I see enormous potential and widespread benefits in preserving Walk on Wilshire as an exclusive pedestrian space. Our city deserves to have safe walkable areas where friends and families can gather.

This traffic-free area is becoming an increasingly popular destination for dining and shopping. Cities around the globe are demonstrating the successful integration of car-free zones, citing improvements in local business revenue, reduction in air pollution levels, and enhancement in community well-being. For instance, a study conducted by the San Francisco State University found that their pedestrian-friendly initiative of Sunday Streets demonstrated a modest increase in local business revenue. Pedestrianizing Walk on Wilshire can offer us a similar set of advantages. Having this potential hotspot in our neighborhood will not only create a safer environment for us to walk but also contribute to a more vibrant city culture.

Let us ensure the streets of Fullerton are not just for cars but also for its people. Sign this petition if you believe in a Walk on Wilshire that is traffic-free and pedestrian-friendly. Let's work towards a safer, healthier, and friendlier Fullerton.
