A crossing is desperately needed at the post office end of Pensby Road. Despite the 20mph signage cars still drive significantly above this and on 7 July during a Safer Roads Watch action a vehicle every minute was  recorded speeding at this site.  The elderly, disabled and injured shouldn’t have to be concerned about crossing at this end of Pensby Road.  It shouldn’t have to be the case that disabled people feel the need to travel in a vehicle just to be able to cross the road.

We are calling upon the council to carry out a new assessment of this area and bring in a crossing and speed cameras, as appropriate, or other suitable traffic calming measures with urgency.

Every day that passes is an unnecessary risk of an accident occurring.’
