Whereas, the Micanopy community values education, literacy, and access to information, and recognizes the importance of a modern and well-equipped library in achieving these goals, and

Whereas, the current library's small size and limited resources hinder its ability to provide essential services and programs to the Micanopy community, and

Whereas, a new library would include a modern meeting room, study room, quiet reading room, art/makers area, expanded media stacks, teen area and children's area 

We, the undersigned, urge the Alachua County Library District to secure land and build a suitable library for the Micanopy community as soon as possible.
