Resolution to support overturning Citizens United & corporate personhood

The Issue

In their Citizens United decision, the Supreme Court has imbued a new level of human rights upon non-living entities, which, in turn, use staggering amounts of money to buy influence on all levels of our government and society. This decision and corporate personhood makes a mockery of the Bill of Rights for all living, breathing human beings in this country. The undersigned local citizens are asking the New London City government to pass a resolution in support of overturning Citizens United and abolishing corporate personhood.
