I decided to create this petition so the people of our city can have a voice on this matter. Our animal shelter is way overdue for an expansion/update or even better a completely new animal shelter. The animal shelter is at or near max capacity at the end of every week lately. There are dogs, puppies, kittens, and cats who are in great danger because our shelter does not have enough room and since it is a kill shelter these animals are at immediate risk. These helpless animals deserve more than to be given ten days or so to find a home or a rescue to take them. If we had a larger and more improved animal shelter there would be more space for these animals which would give them more time to find homes or rescues.
