Temporarily Stop The Moose Hunt In New Hampshire

The Issue

The New Hampshire moose population has dwindled to very low populations throughout NH over the past 10 years. Even though findings show that moose are dying at rapid rates due to tick infestation and possible other ailments, the NH Fish & Game continues to allow hunting permits to be sold each year.

I would like to see the NH moose hunt be halted for a period of at least 2 years to not only see if the population can make a comeback, but to insure that moose will be a part of New Hampshire for generations to come.

Even in their own studies, the NH Fish & Game has continually collared moose for several seasons and is showing almost a 50% death rate in those collared over just one season.

We need to act now to preserve this marvelous creature of the NH forests.
