Save The Cuteness: Protect the Palmer’s Chipmunk from Habitat Loss!
The Issue
The Palmer's Chipmunk (Neotamias palmer) also known as the "Charleston Mountain Chipmunk" has been classified as an Endangered (En) species by the IUCN Red List. These little guys are small, reddish-brown with dark and light stripes on the face and on the back. Their head and body are about 5-inches long, and their tail is about 4-inches long. Palmer's Chipmunks are threatened by habitat lost. Camp-grounds and woodcutting are reducing available habitat for this species and invading their land. By signing this petition, you will be supporting the idea of setting up specific areas to which the general public is prohibited from entering, reserving land for the Chipmunks!
