Pat McCarran may have been a formidable Nevada politician, but he was also racists, anti-Semetic, and instrumental in many of the blacklisting activities of Jewish and suspected communist party members. Nevada State Route 659, which encircles Reno, is named after this man. Please help me petition the Nevada Department of Transportation to change the name of NSR 659 from McCarran Boulevard to better reflect our current values.
