I am a family man, living with my wife and 2-year-old daughter. Our home, which should be our sanctuary, has turned into a virtual prison due to the incessant, nauseating smell emanating from Johanna Foods' facility. The essence of life in our home has been marred by this pungent odor. Opening windows to welcome fresh air has become a dread. Our recreation – the pool, the playground – once a source of joy, now elicits headaches and bouts of nausea due to the unendurable stench. This issue is surely understood by every citizen in our city, battling this stink each day.

I have called into the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection almost 100 times to report the odor, yet the problem persists. Johanna Foods, a local food processing company, has been consistently negligent about the odor emissions from their facility. In spite of numerous complaints lodged by residents, no substantial action has been taken to ameliorate this nauseating inconvenience. For the wellbeing of our families and the livability of our households, significant measures need to be implemented promptly.

By signing this petition, we urge the necessary authorities to delve into this situation urgently. Establishing strict regulations for odor control and forcing Johanna Foods to abide by them becomes an absolute necessity. It is crucial for our quality of life and the health of our community.
