Dear "The Selection" fans,

 

as most of you probably know (obviously, because how else would you have stumbled over this petition?), it has recently been announced that our favourite book series is finally coming to Netflix!

Until now, no official statements have been made by Netflix regarding who we are going to see as our beloved characters on screen and whether or not there will be an open casting call.

Since I was little, I have been dreaming of starring in a movie some day, and I am sure that there are lots of other aspiring actors and actresses out there, some of them potentially reading this right now, who have the same dream. Moreover, the world described in "The Selection" has absolutely everything I wish I had: stunning dresses, sparkling tiaras, and a very handsome prince who makes my heart melt. My dad has always been saying to me that I actually should have been born in a time where there were royals, nobles and glamorous palaces.

Thus, I would give absolutely ANYTHING to be casted in the upcoming "The Selection" movie, may it even be a tiny role. And I am sure I am not the only one out there!

Additionally, I feel like we - fans who have read the book series over and over again because we just couldn't get enough of it - have specific requirements when it comes to who we want to be casted as our favourite characters. To get the perfect actors who will fit our imagination, I kindly ask Netflix to announce an open casting call which will be available to actors and actresses all over the world instead of casting actors we have already seen in tons of other movies.

This will provide aspiring actors and actresses a chance to get their breakthrough, it will allow fans to live their dream of starring in their favourite story AND it will give us viewers what we really want, which is new faces who will display the characters the way they have been described to us in the books.

Due to the coronavirus, I feel like it will take while until the casting for the "The Selection" movie will commence. Thus, we need to use the time until then to convince them of making the casting call OPEN and WORLDWIDE.
