ATTENTION "POPULAR" FANS...

UBER Hollywood Director/Writer/Producer RYAN MURPHY began his career in TV with the WB Network teen comedy series POPULAR that ran for two seasons.  This show was way ahead of its time and has a cult following.  

The amazing ensemble cast is where most people got their first glances of stars like LESLIE GROSSMAN, CHRISTOPHER GORHAM & LESLIE BIBB! Plus it wisely cast established stars in supporting and guest starring roles (DELTA BURKE, PEGGY LIPTON, SANDRA OH, WENTWORTH MILLER, etc.).  The show brilliantly balanced comedy, drama & social issues in an original way. 

If there had been a third season, Mr. Murphy had stated that it would jump forward in time (something that numerous other shows later copied, such as DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) and focus on our core characters as young adults after college (think MELROSE PLACE but intentionally funny!).

It is no secret that Mr. Murphy has gone on to be very successful (NIP/TUCK, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, POSE, GLEE, THE NORMAL HEART, etc.) and was recently hired by NETFLIX.  The current trend in television is reboots & it seems to me that rebooting POPULAR for NETFLIX would be a no-brainer! I have posted about this several times on social media and tagged actors & Mr. Murphy.  I will go on record here and say that both LESLIE BIBB & CHRISTOPHER GORHAM supported this idea.  The cast seems to still be tight so please LET's DO THIS!
