Imagine sitting with your 13-year-old child scrolling Netflix trying to find a show that you can watch together. You start scrolling through the "Popular on Netflix" category from the Home Screen and as you scroll, the titles previews are playing automatically. You nonchalantly move from one title to the next and suddenly, before you even have a chance to read what the title is about, HARD CORE PORN is playing on your screen. How would you feel? Mortified? Angry? Confused? Shocked? That's exactly how I felt when it happened to me.

Trying to chat with Netflix customer service about this problem wasn't helpful. They simply stated, "For all Netflix titles, we work hard to maintain the artistic integrity of our content creators, and present their work unadultered..."

Unfortunately, I wasn't given a choice on what I seeing that or not. Also, pornography is not "art". We now know that pornography is harmful to humans and society and directly fuels sex trafficking and child molestation. Pornography is not a career choice. It's an industry that should be illegal for preying and exploiting the vulnerable.

Yes, I can filter my titles (which I didn't know before this incident) by going online in my profile. However, the pornographic titles are rated "MA". Many other, non-pornography titles are also rated "MA". So, if you filter out "MA", you're missing out on a whole lot of content.

Netflix needs to choose morality over money. They need to remove ALL pornography from their available titles, or at a very minimum, place them into a category of their own, so they aren't filtered out with all the other MA-rated content.

If Netflix is unwilling to do this, then they are showing the world their true colors -- that they value money over people and that they support sex trafficking and child molestation. Therefore, if Netflix refuses, I encourage everyone to discontinue services with them.
