The Good Cop was a fan favorite during its first and only season. Unfortunately, Netflix chose to cancel the series citing viewing numbers not as impressive as they were hoping for. Yet, fans rave on after the series' end. The show is interwoven with ongoing mysteries, so us fans are still awaiting an ending. Additionaly, it was exciting to discuss and watch the stars of the series, Tony Danza and Josh Groban. So, we petition Netflix to welcome a second season of The Good Cop. And soon.

You may recall, the popularity of The Office paled in comparison to My Name is Earl during their initial seasons on American television. The Office, Everybody Loves Raymond, Monk (shout out to the same creators as The Good Cop), were light-hearted shows who had high ratings. Years later, reruns play on television and streaming sites. The Good Cop has this potential and that's obvious from its fanbase, media coverage, and google searches. The fans are out there. We ask you give them more time to experience your show. 

Additionally, The Good Cop is a mystery. Viewers long to watch its web unfold, and others want to join in, but are stunted by the lack of more seasons. Viewers, writers, cast, and crew deserve an ending via another season. Besides, it's bad form to cut a murder mystery short. It goes against the genre, whilst showing a lack of integrity. This type of cancellation could grow into a lack of distrust for shows produced by Netflix. 

The Good Cop has been part of my support system during this pandemic. Good entertainment brings people together, and evokes at least one of the following: thought, feeling, hope, love, a motivation to sustain, to dream, to strive. That's what this show has done for me (from a distance). 

We the undersigned, petition Netflix to display a support of integrity, goodwill, creativity, innovation, and fun in the entertainment business by bringing back The Good Cop for at least one more season and completing the storyline. It and the amazing stars of the show have more to give, and we fans would love to see it!
