It’s been revealed over the last month that Netflix’s ‘Mindhunter’ will not be returning for a third season claiming ‘low viewership’, despite being a widely loved show.

The obvious story arc set up in Episode 1 (involving Wichita Kansas’s infamous ‘BTK’ killer) will not be completed and a television show with A LOT left to give will simply just cease to exist. Meanwhile, the streaming platform continues launching more shows that they’ll likely just axe after a few seasons. 

Television viewers form attachments to both narratives and characters, and are used to seeing things through for many seasons. Committing to watching a particular show, only to have it abruptly end with no resolution is an unfair way to treat loyal viewers.
