Get Atypical Renewed for Season 4/5

The Issue

Atypical is a coming-of-age television series created by Robia Rashid for Netflix. It focuses on the life of 18-year-old Sam Gardner (Keir Gilchrist), who is on the autism spectrum.

The show, which released its third season in early November of this year, is currently at stake with both cast and fans waiting to hear if we’ll receive more episodes. The cast have not only been vocal about wanting to continue working on Atypical, but have also encouraged fans to voice just how much they loved the show on social media. Hopefully by spreading the word, we can prove to Netflix just how many of us care about/have been impacted by the storytelling and characters of Atypical.

Atypical continues to be a platform for autism representation/education and LGBT representation. The third season heavily focussed on Casey’s sexuality and internal battle with coming to terms with her feelings for another girl. Season 4 would be the perfect platform for Atypical to continue the storyline which has so far been handled delicately and maturely and is some of the best LGBT representation on screen today. Atypical is an all round feel good show for everyone and there’s truly a storyline somewhere for everyone to find a part of themselves in.

Help us convince Netflix to continue the beautiful storytelling. There’s so much more of the Gardner’s that we’ve yet to see!
