Netflix's upcoming live action adaptation of the hit manga and anime series One Piece has a while to go before it can hope to introduce the infamous character of Marshall D. Teach, aka. Blackbeard - which is exactly why now is the best time for them to put in place the means to secure the most perfect casting choice any fanchise could ever hope for, Jack Black as Blackbeard.
There are three reasons why Jack Black is the ideal candidate to portray Marshall D. Teach:
