As a lifelong fan of the hit film, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, I was ecstatic to hear of the new Netflix sequel. Then, tragedy struck upon hearing that Taylor Lautner (Cheaper By the Dozen 2, Scream Queens) will NOT be reprising his role as Shark Boy, despite making history for Best On-Screen Lullaby Performance with “Dream Dream Dream Dream (Dream Dream)”. 

Although I am firmly Team Edward, I believe Taylor Lautner’s on-screen presence is unparalleled and that the new film will suffer without his participation. I have no qualms against the new Sharkboy, JJ Dashnaw, but I feel there is no need for him to take on the role when Mr. Lautner is available and if sound body and mind. I understand Tay Tayis rolling in his werewolf / baby lover money but I really wish he would be in this movie, for my own mental health and to make film history. In this curséd year, it’s the least he could do. Please, Taylor, don the fin and fangs again and make us all happy.
