We live in a world were freedom of speech is important. However, the mockery behind this film is beyond disrespectful. The reason for this petition is to help remove the film, “The First Temptation of Christ” from Netflix. I know there are some petitions out there, but it doesn’t mean you can’t vote again to spread more awareness!! This is a violation of faith, and this petition is simply implying that everyone is not forced to believe in anything. However, it doesn’t mean that it’s ok to depict Jesus in a blasphemous manner. This film is a satire which includes comedic scenes and iniquitous actions all throughout the film. This petition is to help prevent future discrimination against beliefs.

“I honestly do not understand why a movie like this would be created.Not only are you offending all Christians but you are making a mockery of our religion.Everyone has the right to their creativity but to sit down somewhere and start coming up with ideas that are so inconsiderate and distasteful is truly unbelievable.Why would these people create a movie that depicts Jesus and other blibical characters in such a nasty way.It is one thing to make a light joke about something it is another to make it the butt of the joke.To try and recreate history is great and all unless you put it in a bad light.”- quoted in a review
