The plan from Redwood was presented to the Stark County Regional Planning Commission on Tuesday November 4th.  Within this meeting there was an open discussion from the community members opposing the plan and presenting the petition.  The short term result was that the decision to approve, conditionally approve, or deny the plan has been delayed by at least one month until the commission can get some things clarified from Jackson Township Zoning Review as well as the Jackson Township Fire Department.

Meanwhile,  Land use restrictions set forth on the property upon the sale to Akron General Medical Center are being removed from the deed via a quiet title case with the Stark County courts.  This will allow for Redwood to build as they plan without violating any deed restrictions.

We encourage anyone opposed to this plan to contact Jackson Township Trustees, or voice their concerns at the next Trustees meeting (November 13th).  Remember that a township trustee's role is primarily to act as a legislative and executive authority for the township, providing local governance through responsibilities like overseeing roads, fire and police protection, and zoning.
