Update: Though we have presented this petition to the Jackson Board of Trustees, as well as the Stark County Subdivision Review Committee and Stark County Regional Planning Commission, it appears that on December 15th, the sale of the lots completed from Akron General Medical Center to "Redwood Jackson".   The Redwood plan is still requires several conditions for approval from SCRPC.  

The one area of concern will be the Traffic impact, I encourage those who are opposed to the plan to contact ODOT and voice your concerns of the added traffic. 

Below is an excerpt from the Subdivision Review meeting minutes from 2025-11.

ODOT’ Conditions:

a. The proposed development plan was reviewed in accordance with the ODOT State Highway Access Management Manual.
b. ODOT approved a variance request in July 2025 for proposed Street A at SR 241. Construction of a southbound left turn lane on SR 241 is also required in accordance with the approved traffic impact study
c. Any work occurring in the state right-of-way will require an ODOT e-permit.
