Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has removed individuals with high risk medical conditions from the 1b tier of COVID 19 vaccination access. This leaves younger people suffering from cancer, cystic fibrosis, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and many other conditions to wait after weeks of having a place in line.

The highest priority individuals, including medical professionals, the elderly, and key essential workers have already been vaccinated or are currently making appointments. At this point, there is no one more vulnerable than the high risk population. 

In many cases, the high risk community has been the most mindful of the pandemic and the most careful. They’ve remained distanced from friends and family, they’ve kept their children from school and activities, and it is now their turn for some relief. 

Governor Ricketts, do the right thing and allow these individuals to take the final step in protecting themselves from this virus.
