At 6AM Tuesday June 28th; Pat Head Summitt completed her battle with Alzheimer's Disease, leaving us on  Rocky Top and around the country with wonderful memories and somber hearts.  No single person has been more paramount in the development of Women's Basketball than this phenomenal woman, mother, and coach.  Not a single person who has or ever will don the Orange and White will be able to make as significant of an impact on the sports world, on the community, on the nation, as Pat did.  It is only fitting that to honor the legacy of Coach Summitt, the NCAA name the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship Trophy, the Pat Summitt Trophy.
