Disband the College Football Playoff selection committee

Disband the College Football Playoff selection committee
The Issue
Intro:
The College Football Playoff (CFP) committee are ruining college football. Every year they seem to get some rankings off, however this year the preferential treatment of the Power 5 (P5) teams is complete sham.
The Problem:
With half of the teams seasons being cut short due to the pandemic you’d assume this would be the best year for a Group Of 5 (G5) to put their mark in the top of the rankings. However with each passing week we continue to see teams such as Iowa St., Florida, and Georgia ranked higher than undefeated G5 teams such as Cincinnati (who’ve convincingly beat every team they’ve played this year.). With such a discrepancy between the CFP rankings and the AP & Coaches polls it’s obvious that there is some sort of infatuation with mediocre P5 teams. It creates an power gap that can’t be overcome because the people deciding where to rank you look at your conference first then decide weather or not they will take you seriously.
The Change I Want
If the integrity of the NCAA is to have all of the best teams from every conference be represented in the rankings correctly than change needs to come to the selection committee immediately. They should form a new committee made up of outside voters from the media, former coaches, and former players. There should be no input from ANY of the NCAA Devision 1 conferences so that the rankings reflect the play on the field and nothing else. There needs to be rules in writing pertaining to the criteria for ranking positions such as, strength of schedule, losses, and etc.
Final Thoughts:
This is not fair to those G5 school or college football fans. There is money at stake for these schools. If the NCAA continues to allow these people to make a mockery of the game it will only hurt the future of college football. The whole point of the CFP was to give more teams an opportunity to prove themselves not get stuck in the same position as before. If you love college football I hope you will sign this petition and share this with your friends and family.
