Every year hundreds of students from various high schools all over North Carolina gather together in our capital, Raleigh, NC for the annual NC Youth & Government conference. Here we get to share our love for government and get to participate in a weekend full of learning to advocate for our voices, stepping up, and being a leader. Unfortunately, this year we the students will not get to experience this due to COVID-19. Think of the incoming freshman who won’t get to experience the full YAG experience all us alumni have. With this being said these kids will miss out on what makes YAG so great such as, finding your voice, making friends, overcoming the fear to speak in front of a crowd and finding that you may love it. Sign this petition for a chance to have NC YMCA Youth & Government reconsider their decision for conference to be online and let us have the full experience in person in 2021, with following cdc guidelines of course. Anything is possible, share this petition in order to save YAG.
