NBRC Santa Rosa Office Needs More Than 4 SSCs Working There At A Time
The Issue
The Santa Rosa office for North Bay Regional Center currently only has four Senior Service Coordinators (SSCs) working there at a time, and there needs to be more. There are too many Service Coordinators and not enough SSCs and don't serve all their clients' needs well. Currently, clients can be treated disrespectfully, inefficiently, and it takes longer than it should be for a client's needs to be served. When clients are not served well, they can stay in bad living environments and suffer from poor mental health, poor physical health, and overall well-being. This can result in an increased risk of hospitalization. Adding more SSCs would provide clients with more supportive people who are better trained and help reduce the amount of personality conflicts by there being more SSCs available to work with clients.
