NBC: Stop the inhumane treatment of animals on the show 'Animal Practice'

The issue

Animals are being mishandled or mistreated every day on television and film sets. One particular show comes to mind, however, when the topic of inhumane animal treatment is brought up. 'Animal Practice' on NBC is a new sitcom featuring a small Capuchin monkey named Crystal, who is regularly used as a sight gag or a punchline in a joke. As seen in Vulture, (http://www.vulture.com/2012/09/polone-why-animal-practice-is-animal-cruelty.html), when it looks like Crystal is smiling or laughing in delight, she is really expressing her fear in the only way she knows how. Soon, Crystal might bite her trainer or the actors on set and then she will be sent to live out the rest of her life in a small cage. Crystal is a wild animal, she is not meant to be domesticated.
