Niki White started this petition to NBC

In 2019, season 4 of the NBC drama This Is Us was put in audio description for the first time in the US, making everything from the markers of time-hopping to the moments that have spawned the hashtag tissue Tuesday fully accessible to blind and visually impaired audiences, just when a blind character was introduced. Speaking of Jack Damon, I doubt any of his family would stand for what I'm about to reveal.

While audio description has been made for season 5, it's only available through the Xfinity app, NOT the site, on demand, when the SAP setting is set to Portuguese, during which everything will be said in English. The hoops seem a little nuts even without the fact that thanks to monopolies, some states literally cannot access the provider or app.

Blind and visually impaired fans in Canada got to see the two-hour premiere with audio description in real time, or on their DVR'S after the fact; they can save things, whereas on demand users of an app, that only some people can use, may have to cope with episodes leaving for a time before eventually returning. All I, as a blind fan, am asking, is for NBC to do exactly what it did last year, exactly what it's doing with closed captioning now. Blind people are already the smallest group in the disability community, why provide a service solely to an even smaller portion of it?
