Long-time fans of Days of Our Lives and, specifically, of the characters John Black and Marlena Evans were elated when the couple was brought back in 2011. In the past years, the well-developed cornerstone characters have been written out of character. Their storyline has followed an unrealistic plot trajectory that ignored or overlooked key elements of their history.
K. Morris's storyline effectively incorporates the storyline of the past year into the full history of the characters. The writing is grounded in the show's tradition and the script has become an instant fan favorite on Facebook and Twitter.
While John and Marlena fans are thrilled that Drake Hogestyn is back filming, they are eager to see the beautiful tradition of the show honored as this script honors it.
