Problem: Many of us as basketball fans in Seattle who have waited too long believe that the expansion option is the only way to start fresh without using another franchise as a relocation because we know what it feels like to have NBA team stolen to another city since the Sonics left for Oklahoma City. More importantly, there are no formal plans for the NBA to expand beyond 30 team franchises, which is uncertain of when it will happen, and Seattle is the most likely city to obtain it.

Solution: We must put pressure on Adam Silver and the NBA Board of Governors to put the Seattle expansion into the agenda for as soon as possible. So, our goal is to get an NBA expansion within or less than five years.

Benefits: As a step forward for the waiting to be over, it will lead to the Seattle City Council's approval of Chris Hansen's arena proposal in the SoDo district that meets the NBA standards, once acquiring the expansion team.
