The NBA 2K community is a huge community filled with many influencers and day-to-day gamers. Many of these influencers and gamers found the NBA 2K community during the release of NBA 2K16, one of the most popular 2K released game to this day. The game was not only one of the most popular 2K released game. It was one of the best too. After the release of NBA 2K16, the community saw a lot of new YouTubers gain popularity off the game. Overall, NBA 2K16 was a masterpiece to the NBA 2K community. Fast forward 2 years and NBA 2K18 was released. ‘The Neighborhood’ was introduced to NBA 2K, creating a different environment than MyPark, a park where people played online games. The Neighborhood held stores and a barber shop. You had way more walking room than the rest of the previous 2Ks. At first, this sounded like a brilliant idea. However, it ended up being a failure. NBA 2K18, thought to be one of the best games released by NBA 2K, found itself to be one of the worst. Many people have debated about shutting down NBA 2K18’s servers and opening a previously closed server like NBA 2K16. This is why, a day-to-day gamer created a petition to shutdown NBA 2K18’s servers and open NBA 2K16s’. I feel this would not only boost sales for NBA 2K but it would change the overall opinion of NBA 2K for the better. Many gamers of NBA 2K have expressed their feelings about NBA 2K18 and NBA 2K16. Let’s just say, NBA 2K16 is preferred.
