As concerned citizens of Navarro County, we are deeply troubled by the impact of the world's largest bitcoin transaction processing plant in our community. This issue is extremely important, as it affects vulnerable groups such as single mothers, the working poor, and seniors living on fixed incomes who are struggling to make ends meet. It's unconscionable that these individuals are being asked to conserve energy and pay higher taxes while their bills double or triple due to crypto "miners" on the Texas grid.

This industry brings nothing beneficial to local communities. Instead, it exacerbates financial burdens, wastes precious water resources, and destabilizes our grid system. The lack of transparency surrounding this massive project is alarming. As Texans and residents of Navarro County, we have a right to know basic details about this operation that will significantly impact us all.

We demand an official public town hall meeting where local officials who brought this plant into our county can defend their decisions publicly. We call for accountability from both the City of Corsicana and Navarro County officials as well as Riot Platforms.  The public has a right to know how much resources this plant will consume and how it will affect their everyday lives.

We calling for not only transparency but also for responsible decision-making that prioritizes the welfare of residents over highly speculative industries and corporations.
