Pass a law barring educational materials and government organizations from using the term "Indian" to refer to Native Americans.

It is incorrect and inaccurate to continue to refer to Native Americans as "Indians". Indians are an entirely distinct group of people from India. The cycle of misinformation and ignorance must end. Referring to Native Americans as "Indians" is based on an over 500 year old inaccuracy and custom that needs to be addressed as such in educational materials such as textbooks and by school instructers.

As a result of our tendency to synonymize "Indian" and "Native Americans", Indian-Americans (Ones who come from India) are often left without their own label, and thus their identity is lost in American culture.
