We the Undersigned Call on the National Rugby League to sell the club to a new Owner...

The Newcastle Knights Rugby League Club has struggled for success ever since being owned by the NRL in mid-2014 after former owner Nathan Tinkler walked away in controversial fashion...However this team has never fully recovered from it and have struggled on field which in last year finished last place and financially with a $1,000,000 loss in debt and with younger upcoming talent being poached by other clubs and with an inconsistent team with a club which is unable to compete in recruitment of other huge popular players due to mostly the current underperforming players being overpaid, Knights Chairman Brian McGuigan had stated that the NRL will continue to own the Knights until they make the top eight in the upcoming seasons in which we believe the Knights should do it now this year rather than in 2017. We believe that this club will benefit from new ownership such as Wests Group, it would assist in the rebuilding of the club to become a competitive powerhouse in the years to follow.

But however, should the NRL Continue to be owned by the NRL and performances on field continue to deteriorate, the whole club will fold and die in the future...So we believe that a new owner is required to step in and change things with a five year plan with an experienced C.E.O and Board. The new ownership would clear out the losses in debt by the club and to make this club successful again during the 1990's-Early 2000s in the near future.
