The national media including some on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and other prominent news channels have been using sensationalist headlines and fearmongering in their reporting of the coronavirus COVID 19 and I am urging them to stop.  Just report the news and the facts because adding to the fear and panic just to gain viewers is irresponsible and a huge disservice to all Americans.  In this same petition I ask the media to stop making this a partisan political issue because it is not and should not be.  All in all the media has stoked the panic and fear in the US as well as used the COVID 19 to take political shots at those they disagree with.  At a time like this we should all come together and work as a UNITED country.  I, and I  hope that others will as well, demand the national media to act more responsible in their reporting on COVID 19.  I urge them to unite and help people get through this with responsible reporting and assist their viewers in remaining calm.
