The National Lottery Funding supports many good causes, unfortunately it’s heritage fund has been found to be giving money to groups who are actively encouraging the senseless killing of grey squirrels and those accused of poor treatment of the animals in their care. This petition is for the removal of Heritage Funding for companies included in actively culling animals!

The particular relationship I am referring to is that of Knowsley Safari Park and Reclaiming Reds. They are encouraging the cruel killing of grey squirrels in the Knowsley area by spreading falsehoods and even going to far as to offer training to people as to how to ‘dispatch’ these lovely intelligent creatures using the guise of this helping red squirrels which they have openly admitted they do not intend to try and introduce into the area proving this truly is just killing for killings sake.

Given the recent article published by the mirror of the treatment of animals in their care it is safe to say they are not deserving to be trusted with animals welfare or funding to continue to act in such an abhorrent manner! Revoke their funding Heritage Fund!
