PLEASE REOPEN JOB CORPS NATIONALLY TO NEW STUDENTS!

In the spring of 2020 all Job Corps Campuses nationwide closed due to the Covid 19 pandemic.  They have remained closed until January 2021.  At that time they reopened taking back "returning" students.  

It has been a very slow process.  At this point the Job Corps Nationally has not allowed any new students to start.  

Job Corps — from which two million students have graduated since it was started in 1964 — boasts some inspiring success stories among the 50,000 students who enroll every year.

Many at risk youth between the ages of 16 through 24 depend on Job Corps training to secure a better future.  I am very concerned about what will happen to these youth if Job Corps  does not reopen soon to new students.  Several of the prospective students are currently living alone in homeless shelters waiting and hoping for Job Corps to reopen to new students.

PLEASE reopen Job Corps nationally to any new qualifying student.  

As a nation PLEASE don't let these youth/young adults down.
