With the recent federal budget announcements many organisations and victims are left with concerns for the many gaps the funding fails to address. The only way to fully and promptly address the gaps is a Royal Commission. This would give the broad coverage required involving media, victims, support agencies etc. With only 30 days given to gain signatures it is vital to sign and share to maximize the influence.
I have concerns that although funding has been allocated to housing for victims, what delays do we have and will it be sufficient? A Royal Commission will address the urgency, the specific needs and processes, and produce the best outcomes.
