On this day five years ago 5,000 Hartford Whaler fans showed up to spend a Saturday remembering the State's only Major League Franchise at the Whalers Summer Fan Fest at Rentschler Field. Thats why it is appropriate that we mark this anniversary as a kick off to show the NHL, The Governor, and the State Legislature that hockey fans in the state want the Whalers to return to their rightful place back in Hartford. Should the Governor's investment group purchase a team the Whaler Guys, Pete Hindle and Jerry Erwin, will make sure that the right people get this petition before the new owners. If you have been waiting for the NHL to return to Connecticut now is the time to be heard or forever hold your Brass Bonanza. Let's go Whale!
