The blog is live! Check it out at canceldrpol.org The first post contains instructions on how to file a Michigan state board complaint. Subsequent posts will dissect each of the most commonly cited incidents, starting with the Boston Terrier that had been hit by a car and had to have it's eye removed. We will cite the text of the Michigan standards and describe how the standards were violated by what is shown. Most important, though, is to counter the ignorance that National Geographic chose to promote with its' portrayal of substandard care. We can do this by providing a commentary from a group of veterinarians on how the standards could have been met- with words, pictures, videos and links to sites where we can find good information on what good care is. If as a vet, you would like to be part of that group please email me at eden@canceldrpol.org Thank you for caring about animals, their owners, and the standards of care the profession can offer.
