Gerald Ong started this petition to National Council of Churches of Singapore

On 24th September 2021, Bishop Ho Chee Sin and Reverend Tan Cheng Huat published an open letter to the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS), appealing for them to "seriously consider removing the association of Joseph Prince and/or New Creation Church from our (NCCS) membership".

They have taken issue with his "aberrant doctrines" and "heretical teachings", and how the NCCS has allowed for him and the New Creation Church (NCC) to be associated with their organisation and mainstream Christianity in Singapore.

There are also other serious issues with Prince and NCC that should prove sufficient reason for NCCS not to associate with them. In a testimony by Dr Chris Kang who holds a PhD in Studies in Religion from the University of Queensland, he argues that Joseph Prince is "preaching a false 'gospel' that leads many to destruction" via his hypergrace ideology.

Dr Kang's testimony can be found here:

Dr Chris Kang’s Testimony about His 2-Year Journey with New Creation Church (2016-2018) and Why Hypergrace is not Biblical (Dated 23 June 2021)

Even Singaporeans who are non-Christian have reason to be concerned about this. We have allowed the rise of a very dangerous personality cult, and we simply cannot sit by and watch any longer as he amasses even more power and wealth, at the expense of ordinary people who are swindled by his false teachings. His espousal of the prosperity gospel might also encourage an unhealthy obsession for material wealth.

Fellow Singaporeans, please do consider signing the petition and taking a stand against the heretic that is Joseph Prince, and his cult that he tries to label as a church.
