I was going to share Kirsten's post from Facebook, but I couldn't copy it so I will just give a brief update So far so good. Kayne's wish to Alaska is great. It started off very early Tuesday morning at 330am when a limousine picked us up. That was awesome to ride and not drive to the airport. It was a full travel day and we made it to Alaska around 5pm (9pm EST) We ended up having our first dinner at a local favorite, The Moose's Tooth. It was a pizzeria it was good and worth the wait. Wednesday, June 7 Keagan ended up doing swim practice with a local team, while Kayne and I stayed back at our hotel and ate our leftover pizza for breakfast. Once we all got back together, it was off to Gird for the helicopter ride Kirsten and I were in one and the boys were in another. So glad they decided to get 2 so we all could go. Keagan had volunteered to stay behind, but Make A Wish let us all go. So glad because seeing and landing on the glacier was a lifetime experience. The ice was so blue in areas. While on the glacier the pilot got us cups so we could taste the water. Wow! What a treat. It was truly the best. I envy the pilot as he fills his water bottles up every day. We then drive to our Airbnb in Hope, Alaska. We are in a small log cabin in the middle of nowhere and it is the 2nd time I have been able to hear nothing but nature. Today is a free day to explore so I'm sure it will be a great day. Kayne loves it up here, so does Keagan.
